Show TEEN TALK By KAREN WALKER At last the final week has arrived. ar-rived. "School's Out!" The Teens begin their resting period for three short months. While the seniors will begin a new life of college or otherwise. But whatever way each Teen tfoes, it's still vacation time once more. The baccalaureate services were held on May IT). A fine program was planned. Guest speaker was W. Cleon Skouscn. Each person attending enjoyed this service . very much. They also were attracted by the march of each senior in their beautiful robes. The annual graduation exercises exer-cises will be held May 10 at 8 o'clock in the high school auditorium. audi-torium. A dance will follow the services. The public is invited in-vited to attend. 0 The Yearbooks have been given out - to each subscribing student. These books are very beautiful and the yearbook staff should be given a hearty "thank you" and congratula- lions for their time and efforts. This book will remind each student stu-dent of the school year of 1054-55 1054-55 in a beautiful way. o Cheerleader tryouts for both assistant and "13" team girls were held Thursday, May 14. Tho.-jo elected by the student body were: "B" team Wilma, Aagard, Kaye Labrum and Shirlcan Shields. Ma;n cheer hader was elected weeks previous, pre-vious, Carlene Gronning. Also named to the main cheerleader team ore Gayle Edwards, Ethel I Cook and Karen Walker. Congratulations Con-gratulations ! ! ' A Band and Chorus concert was presented to the public Monday, May lGth, following a marching band presentation at 6:30. The musical groups performed at the auditorium under direction of Mr. Johnson, e The Teens enjoyed a film on May 11, which was "M" Day. The film was "Sahara," starring Humphrey Bogart. Some shorts also were shown. |
