Show : RAY KESLER NAMED ! 'FARMER OF THE YEAR' !BY BEAVER JAYCEES Ray Kesler has been selected outstanding young farmer of Beaver for 1955 by the Junior Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Kesler will represent the Beaver Beav-er City Jaycees in the state and national award contests, where America's four outstand ing young farmer will be selected later this year. (Ray is a son of Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Kesler of Milford, and a graduate of Milford High School). Mr. Kesler, 26, has an outstanding out-standing Grade A dairy farm which he owns and operates very successfully. He and his wife ,the former Afton Spain-hower Spain-hower of Milford, and their three children have a high standard of living and enjoy farm life. Their attractive home and farm are located near Adamsville. Mr. Kesler and his family are active members of the Beaver Third ward, L D S Church. At their dairy, Mr. Kesler milks from 25 to 30 cows, some of which are registered Ayr-shires Ayr-shires and others are Holsteins. The contest to select the state winners will be held this week at Mapleton in Utah County. At that time, first, second and third place winners will be named and they will receive re-ceive all-expense paid trips to the national awards banquet at Minneapolis, Minn., June 1 to X" The four young farmers judged as America's most outstanding out-standing will receive trophies and merchandise awards. Evan Nielsen is president of the Beaver Jaycees, and Hal Smith is chairman of their agricultural ag-ricultural committee. |
