EMILY GILLINS Mr. and Mrs. Emil Nowers and Nancy; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Nowers Now-ers and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Nowers, Now-ers, all of Beaver, and Mrs. Alba Gillins were dinner guests Sunday Sun-day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Williams. Frank and Dick recently married LaRae and Joyce Shotwell, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. J. Earl Shotwell of Beaver, in a ceremony performed at Ely, Nev. A lovely bride of Saturday was Miss Aldean Marshall whose marriage to Donald E. Jones took place in the St. Geo ge L D S Temple. Mrs. Jones , ; the youngest daughter of Mrs. E ff e Marshall. The bridegroom- is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Jones of South Milford. The newlyweds received congratulations con-gratulations and best wishes from their many friends and relatives rel-atives at a reception held tne same evening in the Mmersville L D S Recreation Hall. The bride wore a ballerina length wedding wed-ding gown of white chantilly face2 over satin. Her illusion veil, lace edged, fell from a tat-feta tat-feta cap bordered with small rosebuds. She carried a bridal bouquet of red roses. Miss Maxine Marshall was maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Mary Ann Lambson carried bouquets of carnations. Best man was Delroy Jne? brother of the groom. ClarK Wright and Jack Anderson were ushers. , . The reception program, directed direct-ed by Mrs. June Pearson, was as follows: Duet, Lee Marshall and Milton Mil-ton Albrecht, accompanied by Mrs. Eleanor Marshall. Reading, Mrs. Bernice Gillins. Solo, Mrs. Charlene Heslington, accompanied accompa-nied by Mrs. Anna Rae Carter. Solo, Delroy Jones. A large crowd attended, and the newlyweds received many nice gifts. Nolder, who is recuperating from an i eye operation. She is at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Helen Petty. Mr. Murdock returned on .Monday, leaving Mrs. Murdock to care for her mother until she can return home. A special meeting of the American Amer-ican Legion Auxiliary was called Monday at the home of Pres. Mrs. Ruth Dotson to receive the state president and the district secretray, Mrs. Nona Watson of Cedar City and Mrs. Bateman of St. George. Those present to hear d'scussion of Auxiliary problems were Mrs. Wilma Davis, Da-vis, Mrs. Shirley Hollingshead, Mrs. Effie Marshall, Mrs. Betty Marshall, Mrs. Gertrude Marshall, Mar-shall, Mrs. Emily Gillins and Mrs. Edna Baker. The Minersville Literary club met Thursday evening a,1, the home of Mrs. Yvonne Murdock. Co hostess was Mrs. Ilene Gray. Chili and hot chocolate were served to Mrs. Shirley Hollingshead, Hollings-head, Mrs. Phyllis Truman, Mrs. Ada Edwards, Mrs. Bonnie Myers, My-ers, Mrs. Melba Baker, Mrs. Era-;ly Era-;ly Gillins, Mrs. Eleanor Marshall, Mar-shall, Mrs. Nellie Hollingshead and Mrs. Reva Albrecht. Primary Preparation meeting was held last week at the home of teacher Mrs. Lorraine Myers. A nice group of ladies were present pres-ent to hear the lesson and to enjoy en-joy delightful refreshments. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Dotson are owners of a new automobile. Mrs. Joanne Myers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vendon Myers, obsreved her fourth birthday-last birthday-last Thursday. A delightful party was arranged by her mother moth-er and Joanne was elated with the many gifts brought by her friends. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Goodwin of Pioche visited last week-end in Minersville and Milford. I Mr. and Mrs. Louie Dalton an-( an-( nounce the arrival of their first child, a girl, born Nov. 15 at . the Iron County Hospital. She weighed 7 lbs. This is the first grandchild for Mrs. Gertrude Marshall. Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Eyre welcomed the arrival of their fourth son on Nov. 8th. The oaby weighed 8V2 lbs and has one sister. This is the 26th grandchild for Mrs. Alba Gillins. Gil-lins. Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carter and family spent Armistice Day in Minersville visiting Mrs. Paulina Carter and Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Dotson. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Pearson and Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Boy-ter Boy-ter spent Saturday in Richfield on business. Mr. and Mrs. Andy Bohn spent a day last week in Salt Lake visiting vis-iting Mr. and Mrs. Kent Bohn in honor of Kent's birthday on J Nov. 5th. j A large crowd attended open ' house and the dance in honor of j the Andy Hollingsheads.
