Slates District Meet In Milford Miss Dema Kennedy of Chicago, Chi-cago, 111., national field consultant consult-ant for the Congress of Parents and Teacheis, will be the featured fea-tured speaker at a series of Region Re-gion 8 conferences which will begin be-gin on Tuesday, Sept. 16th, with a 3:30 p. m. meeting in the Milford Mil-ford High school auditorium. ''ill i Miss Dema Kennedy ! of arrangements. Mrs. Jess Guy-mon Guy-mon of Parowan, Region 8 director, di-rector, will be in charge of the conferences for Beaver, Iron and Washington counties. Mrs. Howard Lund, Milford High school P.-T. A. president, and Mrs. Guy Whittaker, Elementary Ele-mentary school president, will arrange details of the Beaver County conference to be helcT next Tuesday. Miss Kennedy, who has served as both teacher and administrator administrat-or in public and private schools, and also has done community organization or-ganization work, is serving as consultant to Utah educational leaders. A'so present at the Milford Mil-ford meeting will be four state officers, State President Mrs. Donald E. Rose, Mrs. Don W. Taylor, third vice president; Mrs. A. R. Ure, fourth vice president, pres-ident, and Mrs. Helen M. Oberg, state treasurer. Mrs. Lund and Mrs. Whittaker Whitta-ker urged all parents and school patrons to attend the conference, and stressed the importance of starting the meeting promptly at 3:30 p. m., as the visiting officials offi-cials are scheduled to begin a meeting at CecUir City later in the day. |
