Show Seconb IMarb By MRS. BETH FISHER There were 119 persons pres-j pres-j ent at Sacrament meeting last Sunday evening to hear Eldei Harrell Gillins of Minersville speak. Elder Gillins recently returned from a mission to the I West Central States, He spoke i upon a Gospel subject and also j told some of his missionary ex-! ex-! periences. It has been announced that there will be a ward reunion on April 11. The purpose of this reunion is to obtain money to assist in buying new seats for the chapel, and to redecorate and rearrange it. Roy Myers has been named as the Second Ward's representative in charge of this project. i Speaking of redecorating jobs, the Relief Society is to be complimented com-plimented on the fine appearance appear-ance of their room, which was cleaned and fixed up with new chairs and paint last week. President Pres-ident Helen Gillins wishes to thank all who assisted in this work. The Relief Society birthday party will be held next Tuesday, ! March 18, at 2 p. m. An invitation invita-tion is extended to all the sisters sis-ters of the ward to come out and join in observing this anniversary. anniver-sary. Mrs. Ruben Jones reports that her husband ,who is filling a mission for the Church to the Northwestern States mission, is enjoying his missionary labors. Two of the members, Cuma Goodwin and Elva Lofthouse, were excused ex-cused as they went to St. George to the temple that day. Lessons were given by Miss Parkinson and by Myrtle Hansen. Fireside was held at the Geo. C. Goodwin home last Sunday evening, with Bill Goodwin as host. After discussing plans for a coming party the 18 persons present were served refreshments refresh-ments by Mrs. Goodwin. The young people in Mutual had a dance social last Tuesday evening. |
