V NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS 1 By Catherine Sheriff ' It is a very good idea for everyone to make resolutions which will lead to improvement, , if they are faithfully observed. , Some of my resolutions will be: 1. To get all my homework ! done. I 2. To arrive on time for class advisory. I 3. To clean my room every i night after school. j 4. To participate more in class ' discussions. j 5. To stop spending money on things I don't need. 6. To use my spare time doing do-ing something useful. t1" EW YEAR RESOLTUIONS , By LeRoy Griffiths V Two of my resolutions are: ', 1. Continued on Back Page Here's More About SCHOOL NEWS Continued from Page One CHRISTMAS FORMAL WAS BEAUTIFUL Amid brilliantly lighted Xmas decorations, belles and beaux of Milford HiHi d.'inr-od like gentle Christmas mints keeping time with the melodious strains of tlv school orchestra. Responsible for the decorations were the class committees and the student council. We would like to see more parents come to the school dances ,and not only enjoy watching their young men and women have fun. but also have some fun themselves by enjoying enjoy-ing excellent opportunities for dancing. You will have to go a long distance to find a better floor, bettor music or more companionable com-panionable young people than your own sons and daughters. j EIGHTH GRADE ASSEMBLY ! FEATURES XMAS SPIRIT Eighth grade students, with Sharon Keslcr as "mistress" of ceremonies, displayed talent in featuring the Spirit of Christmas, Christ-mas, Dec. 21. On-lookers well nigh "split" their sides as con-1 genial Santa (Ronnie Banks) made big promises (but did he , keep them?) I Among the many participants ; were Joan Merryweather, Jean ; Young, Shirley Tomsik, Janice ' Lynn, Sally Jones, Charles Tru-ex, Tru-ex, Ronnie Banks, Donnie McDowell, Mc-Dowell, Lynn Vestal, Vee Wads- j worth, Boyd White and Pat ! Gronning. j j RESOLUTION POSSIBILITIES A dollar saved 1 Is a dollar earned, But a dollar spent' Might be better "burned." An hour used Is not abused, But an hour "burned" Is an hour spurned. A friend lost Becomes a host , But a friend won Is a deed well done. Since no one is perfect not even you better take stock of your goods on hand; time, tal-1 tal-1 e'nts, (money?), friends, knowledge, knowl-edge, skills, and frills. You should analyze the prospecst in order to increase your stock of every item except the last. In subsequent issues we will illustrate ways and means of accomplishing this objective. |
