A gift was presented pre-sented to Eddie, and lunch was served at a late hour. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Arle Gustavson, Mr. and Mrs. Don Gleason, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Loveland, Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Following the business meeting, Christmas gifts were exchanged and the ladies enjoyed playing cards. The prizes went to Mrs. Metta Weston and Mrs. Ethel Smith. A delicious lunch was served by the hostess. MR. AND MRS. MYRON PERSONS announce the engagement en-gagement of their daughter, Aileen, to Sgt. Robert Green of 1 the U. S. Army. Sg-t. Green is I stationed at Fort Ord, Calif., ! and is a native of Forest City, ! North Carolina. I The nuptial date has not yet been announced. A SURPRISE Farewell Party was given Monday, Dec. 3, by St. Bridget's Rosarians, at the home of Mrs. Jean Hanley, honoring hon-oring Mrs. Leona Rhodes. Those present were Mrs. Rhodes. Father Valine, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gillis, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry McDermott, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sullivan, Mrs. Jean Hanley, Han-ley, Mrs. Dora Smithson, Mrs. Ethel Smith, Mrs. Theresa Pitch-forth, Pitch-forth, Mrs. Helen Banks, Mrs. Barbar.a McGinn and Mrs. Edith Wisner. The evening was-spent play-ing play-ing bingo and enjoying homemade home-made candy, after which' Mrs. Rhodes opened many lovely gifts. Refreshments of ice cream cake and coffee were served to the group. ' ST. BRIDGET'S ROSARIANS held their regular monthly business busi-ness meeting Wednesday of last week at the home f Mrs. Barbara Bar-bara McGinn. Those present were Mrs. Ethel Smith, Mrs. Margie McDermott, Mrs. Helen Banks, Mrs. McGinn, Mrs. Jane Gillis, Mrs. Jean Hanley, Mrs. Edith Wisner and Father Valine. Va-line. Regular business was discussed, discus-sed, and the following officers were elected for the coming year: Mrs. Ethel Smith, president; presi-dent; Mrs. Margie McDermott, - vice president; Mrs. Barbara McGinn, secretary: Mrs. Jane Gillis, treasurer; Mrs. Jean Hanley, Han-ley, news reporter.
