Show Services Held in ! Minersville for Walter Roberts Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Tuesday in the Miners-ville Miners-ville L D S Chapel for Walter Roberts, 82, who died Friday in a Salt Lake hospital of causes incident to age. Bishop Ruben Dotson direct-1 ed the following services: Song, Minersville choir, led by Melba Baker and accompanied accompa-nied by Phyllis Truman. Prayer, Moroni Myers. Remarks James E. Eyre of Lyman, Wyo., brother-in-law of the deceased. Song, "Dear Hearts and Gentle Gen-tle People," Lee Marshall and Milton Albrecht, accompanied by Phyllis Truman at the piano. Remarks, Alma Banks of Lynndyl. Violin duet, "The End j of a Perfect Day," Melba and Harold Baker. Duet, "Going Home." Sylvia Davis and Vivian Marshall. Remarks, Willard Carr of Bountiful. Benediction, Mr. Carr. The grave in the Minersville I cemetery was dedicated by Vance Roberts. Mr. Roberts was born in Minersville Min-ersville Oct. 4, 1869, a son of George and Susan Gallard Roberts. Rob-erts. He was a miner and farmer farm-er by occupation, and a member of the L D S Church. He is survived by his widow, Susan McKnight Roberts, and a son, Victor G. Roberts, both of Salt Lake City; a son Stanley Stan-ley Roberts of Cedar City, two daughters, Lorene Gillies and Irene Strang of Los Angeles; a stepson, Carl C. Roberts of Cald-! Cald-! wpII Tdaho: a sister. Edith Brad- field of Minersville; 24 grandchildren grand-children and 18 great-grandchildren. |
