Show I U OF U LISTS RECORD HOME STUDY CLASSES Year-end reports from the University of Utah Home Study Department topped all previous records with 1,711 registrations during 1950-51. These "learn by mail" students, most of whom never see the University campus, are located in 107 communities com-munities representing all 29 Utah counties, as well as in 42 states, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Samoa, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela. Of the 185 college and high school correspondence courses offered by the University ot Utah Extension Division, most popular are Naturalization, Library Li-brary Science, Manuscript Writing, Writ-ing, Health Education and English. Eng-lish. Among Beaver County residents resi-dents enrolled in home study at the University of Utah was Kathryn Schnepel, Beaver High School instructor. Miss Hansen, who is now thoroughly versed in the operation op-eration of the new Telluride billing machine, will handle more than 8,000 electric power pow-er statements each month with its help. The almost human NCR biller prints a meter count, makes a bill, indicates in-dicates class of service, prints kilowatt hours and dollars and cents on a post card size bill which is mailed without an envelope. The machine was built especially for Telluride Tel-luride and eliminates almost all c u s t o mer bookkeeping since it automatically prints a ledger record stub for permanent per-manent filing.
