Show LEST WE FORGET By MRS. ETHEL SMITH Memorial Day is less than two weeks away. This is a sacred day in the lives of the American people. A day to be hallowed and to pauseN long enough for a prayer, a visit to i the cemeteries, and placing , flags and flowers on the graves j of our dead heroes and loved ones. But far from Milford in Flanders Field in France, where row on row of simple white crosses are marking the burial places of our heroes of two great wars, the poppies ar5 blooming again. Escalante Auxiliary 1645 to the Veterans of Foreign Wars will observe National Poppy Day on May 25th. Mrs. Juanita Gleason is chairman, and the members will be on the streets with the Buddy Poppy fashioned fash-ioned after the ones now blooming bloom-ing in Flanders Field. The contributions con-tributions for these poppies are used only for hospital and welfare wel-fare work. Won't you help?
