Show Bill Tribole left last Friday for another of his enjoyable tripj to New Zealand. Bill was to spend a few days visiting his brother and sister in Long Beach, then leave Monday for Honolulu by Pan - American Clipper. After one day in the islands he continued to Wellington, Well-ington, New Zealand, to hunt and fish and vsit friends until April. Attorney Carl Hulbert and mother, Mrs. A. D. Hulbert, of Salt Lake City, were visitors at the Rudolph Nielsen home Wednesday of last week. Atty. Hulbert was here on business. John P. Murdock, high councilman coun-cilman of Beaver Stake, was a speaker in the Milford First Ward Sunday evening. Myron Leffingwell has left for Denver, Colo., to spend a month attending a special A T and T training- school. Mrs. Leffingwell preceded him a few days, to .prepare for an appearance appear-ance as guest cellist with the Denver Symphony orchestra. Pfc. Paul Rhodes is at home for a few days furlough. He will report back to his outfit at Scott Air Force Base on Jan. 22nd. Leaving soon for Las Vegas will be Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Peterson Pet-erson and family. Mr. Peterson is empioyed at the Milford CAA Station, and has been transferred trans-ferred to the Las Vegas station. Mrs. Roy Myers and Mrs. Reed Gillins will attend the wedding of their brother, Leo Barlocher, in St. George Saturday. Satur-day. Mrs. Janet Root and small daughter Janet Ann have returned re-turned to Milford after spending spend-ing the past week with Mrs. Root's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Smith, in Beaver. Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Smith were in Salt Lake Sunday visiting vis-iting their sons. Mr. and Mrs. Don Wisner and two sons were in Cedar City Sunday visiting friends. Dora Miller and daughters Janice and Grace were in Salt Lake over the week-end. Mrs. Miller attended a Polio meeting meet-ing Friday at the Hotel Utah. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tod Chamberlain over the week-end were Tod's bother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kay Chamberlain of Parowan. Mrs. Jessie Frazier will leave Sunday for Arizona, accompanied accompa-nied by Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Frazier of Oakley, Utah. They will spend two months in the warmer climate. Mr. and Mrs. Kimmell Coon left Wednesday for Ft. Lewis, Wash., to visit their son Herbert. Her-bert. Mrs. Minnie Taylor of Salt Lake City is with her sister, Mrs. J. D. Johnston, to assist during Mrs. Johnston's illness. Arlene Voorhees and daughter daugh-ter Georgia accompanied Mr1, and Mrs. Maurice Moore to Provo, where Arlene and Georgia Geor-gia will spend a few days. Mr. Keith Merryweather was a guest at the home of his brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Merryweather, this week. Keith has just returned from an L D S mission in Argentina. Ar-gentina. Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Mclntyre have received word that their son Robert has been promoted to corporal. He is stationed at Camp Roslyn, New York. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tomsik were in Salt Lake this week. Sgt. Douglas Thomas of Ft. Lewis, Wash., was at the home of his sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Killam, Thursday. Also visiting at the Killam home Thursday were John and Margaret Riley of Beaver. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Killam attended at-tended funeral services for Mrs. Killam's uncle, Mr. Barton, in Greenville last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Harod Baxter left last Friday for Van Nuys, Calif., where they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fothering-ham Fothering-ham and children. Mr. Baxter returned to Milford Monday and Mrs. Baxter returned Wednesday, Wed-nesday, to be in Milford when her son Charles arrived. |
