Show With The Ladles LOCAL AND PERSONAL NEWS SOCIETY CLUBS THE INTERMOUNTAIN Harmony Har-mony Meeting of the G I A to the B. of L. E. was held in the I O O F Hall in Salt Lake City, May 5th. Those attending from Sego Lily Division No. 500 were Grand Inspector Wanda Holm, President Mae Colburn, Eva Banks, Phyllis Erickson, Mag-dalena Mag-dalena White, Flora Cuddy, . Hazel Steenbock, Virginia Fowles, Lois Berry, and Kather- rine Shingleton. Luncheon was served in the hall, and a banquet at the New-house New-house Hotel. It was an all-day I session, and many former Mil-ford Mil-ford ladies were in attendance. In 1951, the meeting will be held in Milford. Mrs. Robert Holms and baby are visiting the baby's grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe C. Smith. I The Kimmel Coons spent the week-end in Beaver visiting Mr. Coon's brother, Mitch, who returned to Milford with them. The L. F. Mellors of Paul, Idaho, have been visiting with 1he Earl Nielson and Grant Mel-lor Mel-lor families. MR. AND MRS. S. E. TURNER TUR-NER announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Patricia to Robert Rob-ert D Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Ferguson. Th popular young couple will exchange nuptial vows at a six o'clock ceremony, May 18th, at the Ferguson home. A wedding reception will follow, fol-low, in Arion Hall. THE LADY FIREMEN held their annual social Friday evening, eve-ning, May 5th. A plate luncheon was served by the committee, Mildred Coon, Kate McDonald, Ethel Smith, Noma Bradshaw and Vera Waite. Prizes for bridge went to Maurene Miller, Margaret Lund and Lucille Raines. At pinochle, Alton Nielsen, Jeannette Hickman Hick-man and Jerry Memmott were the prize winners .. JERRY MEMMOTT was hostess host-ess to her pinochle club the evening of May 2nd. Prizes went to Dorothy Morris, high, and Beth Edwards, low. Dorothy Dor-othy was a guest. The date was a special event honoring the hostess and Helen Banks on their birthdays. Other guests included Dawn Miller, Virginia Beddingfield, Barbara McGinn, Mary Raines and Beverly Bev-erly Davis. BETH EDWARDS was honored hon-ored at a "going away" party at the home of Helen Banks, Tuesday evening 21 guests were present. ' Monte Carlo Whist was played, with Lottie Gronning winning high, Vvs Baxter, second sec-ond high; Lucille Belliston, low, and Isabelle Cox, cut prize. Beth was given a lovely make-up kit as a remembrance from her friends. |
