Show Cornelius Semeyn Dies At California Home Mr. Cornelius Lawrence Semeyn, Se-meyn, 81, passed away at his home in Hawthorne, Calif., April 26, after a lengthy illness. Born in Grand Rapids, Mich., Sept. 28, 1868, he was a son of Mary Flanders and Lawrence A. Semeyn. In 1899 he began his railroad career, working as a car inspector for the Michigan Central railroad. Moving to La Junta, Colo., he was employed by the Santa Fe, and in 1911 he move dto Wendover, Utah. He was a resident of Milford for several years, making his home with a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Colborn. After leaving Milford he made his home in Hawthorne, Calif., with a granddaughter, Mrs. Dorothy Gordon, until the time of his death. Survivors include two daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Mae Colbom of Milford Mil-ford and Mrs. Gertrude Radeker of Wasco, Calif.; three brothers, Anthony Semeyn, Gilbert Semeyn Sem-eyn and Leonard Semeyn, all of Grand Rapids, Mich.; 13 grandchildren grand-children and 18 great-grandchildren. Burial .was in Fresno, Calif. |
