Show meeting at the home of Mrs. Helen Davis Thursday evening. Officers elected for the coming com-ing year are: Barbara Gressman, president; Athene Roberts, vice president; Virginia Marshall, secretary; Emily Gillins, treasurer; Druce Carter, chaplain, and Wilma Davis, sergeant-at-arms. Plans were made to enlarge the enrollment of the auxiliary. Two-course refreshments were served to those present. Mrs. Davis' mother, Mrs. Edna Dove of Paradise, Nev., was a guest of honor. Mr. and Mrs. Val Marshall are here visiting Mr. Marshall's mother, R'S. Warren Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Vance Marshall moved to their new home in South Milford Monday. We were sorry to have them leave. Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Patterson and Mr. and Mrs. Parley P. Porter Por-ter and children, of Salt Lake, visited their granddaughter and niece, Penla Dee Patterson, and Mr. and Mrs. Heber Gillins Jr., over the week-end. They also visited at the home of ..Mrs. Mabel Gentry at Beaver. Mr. and Mrs. Heber Gillins Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Goodwin of Cedar City attended a performance of the Master Singers held each Sunday evening eve-ning at Cedar City for the benefit bene-fit of residents and tourists whc desire to hear them. Mrs. Gil lins reports the quartet which won national and international recognition and acclaim recently recent-ly at Madison. Square Garden sang several numbers, and the entire program was well worth hearing. MINERSVILLE By JOY GARDNER Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Fullgren and family of Salt Lake, .and Mr. and Mrs. John K. Therning, also of Salt Lake, arrived Saturday Sat-urday to visit Bishop and Mrs. Ruben Dotson. The Fullgrens returned to their home on Monday. Mon-day. Mrs. Fullgsen and Mrs. Dotson are sisters. Mrs. Dot-son's Dot-son's parents, the Thernings, will remain for two weeks. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Marshall. Mrs. Marshall Mar-shall is the former Margaret McKay, daughter of Mrs. Alfred Wood.' The couple were wed Thursday, July 28th, at Las Vegas. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Marshall. Jeff and "Mickey" will spend a week honeymooning in Southern South-ern California. Mrs. Nellie Long and two children, chil-dren, Pat and Eugene, of Ur-bana, Ur-bana, 111., are visitnig with Mrs. Long's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Carter. Miss Carol Ann Davis accompanied ac-companied her sister, Mrs. Norman Nor-man Lamb, to Salt Lake July 26th. They returned Friday, bringing Lola Lamb, who has been visiting her grandparents the past three weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Riz Gillins and sen Peter of Ogden visited this week at the home ot Mr. Urii-lins' Urii-lins' mother, Mrs. Heber Gil lins Sr. Mr. and Mrs. Buck Lanphere and Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Smith of Provo are spending the week visitng the girls parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Golden Marshall. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Jameson spent last week in Sacramento, Calif., visiting the B. F. Crofts. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Jameson Jame-son were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Clothier and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jameson of Cedar City last Saturday. ' They enjoyed en-joyed a delicious chicken dinner din-ner at the Cedar Breaks Lodge. Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Wood spent five days visitng friends in Salt Lake, Midvale and Provo. Miss Jeanine Carter returned home Monday, after spending five weeks at the home of her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Val Marshall of Salt Lake. WILLIAMS FAMILY REUNION The David E. Williams family reunion was held July 21 at the school house in Minersville. I More than 300 descendants of David E. and Margaret Reese Williams met at 10 a. m. in a well arranged program, which was rendered in very fine order. At 1:30 a delicious chicken dinner was served to over 350 members of this family. In the afternoon on the school house lawn sports and races were enjoyed en-joyed by the children as well as the adults. In the evening a dance was held in the school gymnasium. A large crowd attended the dance and those present had an enjoyable time. Of the Williams-Reese union three sons and three daughters survive: George R. Williams of LaDerhue, Utah; Frank D. Williams Wil-liams of Minersville, Heber C. Williams of San Diego, Calif.; Margaret Griffith of Beaver, Rachel McKnignt of Bountiful, and Celia Douse of Blackfoot, Idaho. All of these children were present to honor the memory of their pioneer parents. Others attending the reunion were from various parts of Utah, Nevada, Ne-vada, Idaho and California. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Robinson Robin-son and George spent the 24th holidays visiting with Mr. Robinson's Rob-inson's brother in Los Animos, Colo.
