Show V A OFFICES TO SATURDAY NIGHT As a concession to late veteran applicants all Utah State Department Depart-ment of Veterans Affairs offices will remain open all day Saturday, Satur-day, July 31, 1948 in order to permit Utah World War II veterans vet-erans to reinstate their lapsed GI Life Insurance, State Director Ed T. O'Brien announced today. On July 31. 1948 the Libera! reinstatement provision will end in many cases. The Utah State Department of Veterans Affairs office for this area is located at Cedar City. Veteran's Service Officers will be on hand to advise all aplicants the simple reinstatement procedure pro-cedure as well as other problems connected with GI Insurance. Until July 31, 1948, Mr. O'Brien said, a veteran whose insurance has lapsed for more than three months nee"d only to make two monthly premium payments and sign a certificate stating that his health is as good comparatively as the time when his insurance lapsed. After July 31, 1948 GI Life Insurance lapsed for more than three months may still be reinstated, but the applicant will have to pass a qualifying physical physi-cal examination. Mr. O'Brien added, veterans are a lot older today than when they took out I their government insurance and j in many cases will find they are : not good insurance risks. ! About 11.000 of Utah's 70.000 j World War II veterans have reinstated re-instated their policies. Mr. O'Brien stated that GI Life In-' In-' surance is the best and cheapest insurance in the world and urges every veteran to heed his advice j and reinstate his policy. |
