Show i IIIMIII HUM M -LOOKING BACKWARD TEN YEARS AGO A combined county program of music will be presented to the public, free of charge, at the various high school auditoriums on the following dates: Miners-ville, Miners-ville, Sunday, March 27 at 7:30 p. m.; Milford, Tuesday, March 29. and at Beaver, Sunday, .pril 8th. The program-will consist ot the following numbers. Ladies' trio, Mrs. Helen Brockbank. Miss Emily Rose and Miss Preale Griffiths. Trumpet solo, Beck Murdock. Contralto solo, Miss Fredonna Streckler. Clarinet or saxophone solo, Milo Adams. Piano solo, Mrs. E. L. Smith. Trombone solo, Richard Hickman. Hick-man. Vocal solo, J. M. Hughes. Brass sextet, Jim Hickman, Bud Williams, Philip Carlisle, John "i-'nrshn"'. Jess McKnight, and Don Elmer. Reading, Miss Nona Marshall. Vocal duet. Mrs. Vivian Marshall and Mrs. Sylvia Davis. Saxophone Saxo-phone solo, Ray Hall Despite the fact that there were four or five other attractions attrac-tions to take the attention of Milford people, Wedneslay evening eve-ning there was a good attendance attend-ance at a scheduled meeting of Democratic voters of Milford Districts 1 and 2. The meetings were called for the purpose of reorganizing the district committee com-mittee personnel and to elect delegates to the Democratic county convention to be held in ! Beaver. April 16, and were held ! in the high school. - I New officers and committee members of District 1 are Rudolph Ru-dolph Nielsen, chairman: Iva N. Deffler, chairwoman, J. C. Smith, sec.-treas., Arvilla Mc Kay and F. W. Gospill, additional addi-tional committee members. All of these, with Roy Coleman and Ed Leech added, were designated designat-ed as delegates to the county convention, with C. C. Sloan, L. A. Wynaught and D. A. Baxter as alternates. For District 2, which includes that part of town east of Main street, together with that part of Milford Valley outside the town limits. F. Douglas Ryan was elected chairman. Mary Williams, chairwoman. Margaret Rohn, sec.-treas., Ed Bardsley, M. J. Christensen and V. Waddoups. additional committeemen. The first were designated as delegates dele-gates to the county convention, with the other three committee-l committee-l men as alternates. arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Siewert of Wilmington. Wilming-ton. Calif.. March 17th. The Siewerts were former residents of Milford. During a severe snowstorm a Ford Roadster driven by Alex Ross and occupied by Karl S. j Carlton and Asa Griffiths was turned completely over into the I hi-h line canal near the demon- j .-'ration farm. Edna Ferguson won a S5 prize for the best essay on this make of car. with the following being awarded prizes of SI down to 50c: Clyde Orwin. William Cochrane. LeRoy Van Wormer. Pauline Van Wormer.
