Show NEWS NOTES FROM MINERSVH1E By RUBEN DOTSON The Church Building Fund Committee will sponsor a "Wilford the Magician" magic show - a 2 '2-hour performance - next Tuesday, Dec. 9th, at 8 p. m. All proceeds from the show will go toward the fund for building the new church. Part of the Wilford Show was ecently presented in the Min-jrsville Min-jrsville schrfol, for the benefit if the children, and Wilford's entire show has been presented in Milford and Beaver, both performances drawing capacity houses. The show brings acts from the four corners of the world, and Wilford, a superlative showman, mixes comedy, suspense, surprise sur-prise and bafflement thru the entire two and a half hours. Wilford's assistant, a gorgeous young brunette, wears many different dif-ferent costumes, ranging from breath-taking tights to shimmering, shimmer-ing, lovely gowns. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Sidwell of Fairview, Utah, and Sam Banks of Provo were Thanksgiving guests at the home of Mr. Banks' and Mrs. Sidwell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Banks. j More new cars in town the DeSotos belong to Lester Roberts Rob-erts and Gene Myers, and the Chev to Dick Davis. Mr. and Mrs. Obra Myers and daughter Sally enjoyed Thanksgiving Thanks-giving at Carp, Nev., with Mrs. Myers' sister Mrs. Andy Bonn, and her family. Mr. James Dotson and Clara Evans of Stockton, Utah, were married in a quiet ceremony at 8 o'clock Monday evening, in the home of Golden W. Eyre at Milford. Mil-ford. Bishop Carl Goodwin of Milford performed the ceremony. cere-mony. The newlyweds will make their home in Minersville. The Minersville M-Men were defeated in their first practice game with the Milford Legion team on the Milford High school basketball court, last Friday nite, by a 48-27 score. However, they plan revenge in the near future when the Legionnaires of Milford- play at Minersville. December 10th, as part of the regular Legion schedule. Sheral Carter returned home Monday from the post-season elk hunt, having bagged a 435-lb. 435-lb. anterless elk. |
