Show PLANNING, BEAUTIFICATION EXPERT TO 'LOOK US OVER' NEXT MONDAY John W. Hyde of Ann Arbor, Michigan, recognized as one of the nation's autstanding authorities au-thorities on city planning and beautification, accompanied by J. B. Carlos of Salt Lake City, state beautification chairman, will visit Milford on Monday. August 11, to inspect the city and advise our citizens as to the necessary steps to be taken before Milford can be classed as a beautiful, progressive communty. The visiting officials will b greeted at 11 o'clock Monday bj Mayor Gronning, the Board of City Trustees, the city planning board and delegations from the Milford Lions and the Milford Chamber of Commerce. After an inspection tour of the city, they will be guests of the Lions and Chamber of Commerce Com-merce at a luncheon in the banquet ban-quet rooms of Bud's Cafe, then will leave for Minersville and Beaver. In the evening, at 8 2 o'clock, a joint meeting of the i planners with representatives ol the three communities will be held in the Beaver County Court House, at which time errors in planning and "beauty hints" will be pointed out by the visitors. 1 Mr. Hyde was brought to Utah I by the Beautification Committee of the State Centennial Commis-; Commis-; sion, under whose auspices he is touring the state. He is probably prob-ably the most qualified planning expert in the world, and his serv-, serv-, ices are constantly demanded by states and communities seeking to improve their appearance and their services to the citizens. |
