Show Mary Ann Hickman Passes Away in Calif.; Funeral Heidi Here Mrs. Mary Ann Williams Hickman, Hick-man, 51, a former Milford resident, resi-dent, died Thursday, July 31, at a hospital in North Hollywood, Calif., following a prolonged ih? ness with tumor of the brain. Mrs. Hickman was born July 1, 1896, to David James and Margaret Mar-garet Williams in Greenville. She lived in Greenville until she was 16 years of age, when sht moved to Milford to live with her sister, Mrs. Nettie Kirk. On September 2, 1917, she was married mar-ried to Fay LeRoy Hickman of Milford, the couple moving to Beaver to make their home. Ten years ago the family moved to Cedar City. For the past three years Mrs. Hickman had lived with a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor H. Turpin, at North Hollywood. Mrs. Hickman was a member of the L. D. S. church, and had been a prominent worker in the Relief Society and other auxiliary auxil-iary organizations. She was dearly loved by her host of friends. Surviving are her husband, two children, Mrs. Turpin and Jim Hickman of Cedar City; a foster mother, Mrs. Emma Williams Wil-liams of Greenville, two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Kirk of Milford and Mrs. Gertrude Easton of Beaver; the following half-brothers and half-sisters: James Williams, Mrs. i Alice Heslington of Greenville, ' Mrs. Vera Calvert and Mrs. Ruby -Davis of Caliente, Nev.; Mrs. Pauline Coffee of Bishop, Calif., , and Mrs. Elma Shipp of Beaver. ' One grandson also survives. Funeral services, held in the ' Milford ward L. D. S. chapel : last Sunday, included the fol- ; lowing program: 1 Song, "Rock of Ages." by the Milford Ladies .accompanied by Mrs. Parley B. Fisher; prayer, Rudolph Nielsen; solo, "The Rosary," Ros-ary," Dan Ferguson, accompanied accompa-nied by Mrs. E. L. Smith; Obituary, Obitu-ary, William A. Miller of Beaver; Beav-er; song, "Mother Machree," Miss Jones of Cedar City; talk, Car-lyle Car-lyle Gronning; remarks, Bishop Carl M. Goodwin; prayer, Eb-enezer Eb-enezer Tanner. Burial was in the Milford cemetery. |
