Show Bryce Chamberlain as Nephi Springville man takes lead in People of Book' An impressive array of local talents of Utah County is working to produce the "Book of Mormon" epic, "People of the Book," written by Mildred Handy, Orem resident, in the de Jong Concert Hall at Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University, October 16 though 18. The production, which is a skillful blend of drama, music mu-sic and dance, is headed by an all-BYU cast including Bryce Chamberlain, handsome star of ' "Man's Search for Happiness" who this summer, moved from California to Springville, where he is now living with his wife and two sons while attending the Y and working to obtain his doctoral degree in drama. He portrays Nephi in the lead role a part he is filling after playing Laman in the primier in the Starlight Bowl in Bur-bank, Bur-bank, Colifornia in October of 1967. Millie Foster Cheesman, wife of Dr. Paul Cheesman, director of "Book of Mormon projects at BYU, will be heard singing in the roll of Sariah. Dr. Chessman Chess-man will exhibit his Mexican and South American archeo-logical archeo-logical artifacts during the production. Only non-local talent performing per-forming in the show will be the Indian people from the La-manite La-manite Fifth Ward of the Temple Tem-ple View Stake in Salt Lake who will be seen in their colorful col-orful costumes. A limited number of tickets are available and may be purchased pur-chased at the de Jong office at the BYU. There will be two matinee performances on Saturday, Sat-urday, October .18 at 1 and 4 p.m. Evening performances begin be-gin at 8:15. |
