Tew family of Duchesne gathered at the Evergreen Cemetery on Saturday. Sat-urday. A brief graveside service ser-vice was held for their daughter daugh-ter Lynette Tew. After the services ser-vices the family went to the home of Pricella LeRoy in Springville before returning to their home in Talmage. Robert Paulson and family, a brother of Lyle Paulson, has been visiting from Minneapolis, Minn. Barbara Murray spent three days in Beaver last week visiting vis-iting with friends and relatives. The Sylvester Allan's have word that their son David and family of Boulder, Colo., will spend 2 months in Europe where he will consult with various var-ious government agencies in his field of Atomic Timing. LaVell Allan, a brother of Sylvester has been here from Orriville, Calif. He came especially es-pecially to be with his mother, Viola Allan who recently underwent un-derwent surgery at the Payson Hospital. A daughter Beverly and husband hus-band Joe Malherio are also spending a week with the Allans. Al-lans. Their children, Kathy and Bob are with them. Another son, Ray, is in Fort Hood, Tex. After spending a year of duty with the Army in Germany and the past year in Viet-Nam. On her way home to Lander, Wyoming from Dixie College, Jackie Barnes stopped over for a few days at the home of her grandparents Mayor and Mrs. Douglas Bills. Jackie has been living in St. George with Pat and Jay Haymond during the past school year. Kaye and Ray Sandin have also been visitors with the Bills. Kay is a daughter daugh-ter of Donald Johnson of Boze-man, Boze-man, Montana. Lt. Mac M. Bills has returned to Lockbourne, Ohio after serving temporary duty with the Air Force in Thailand. While there he went sight seeing with a friend Phil Haymond and reports some very interesting experiences in Bankok. The Reed Barker's have ar-lived ar-lived from St. Paul, Minnesota to spend the summer. Reed has been attending graduate school at the University of Minneapolis Minnea-polis working on a Masters degree de-gree in Plant Genetics. The Bills family will hold their annual reunion on the Park Saturday at 1:00. Approximately Ap-proximately 70 immediate family fam-ily progenitors of Walter F. Hurst held their reunion on the park last Saturday. It would have been the 100th birthday of their mother. Of nine living children, eight were present. They are: Eunice Dunyan who is 80 years old, of Ogden; Hannah Han-nah Bonne, Fairview; Lillie Tew, Leslie, Idaho; Fern Whitney, Whit-ney, Springville; Lora Bird and Walden Hurst of Mapleton; Vard Hurst and Leola Beck of Ogden. The afternoon was spent in renewing acquaintances and enjoying a program furnished by members of the family. SP4 Alan Dibble is serving in the headquarters of the 3-4 calvary sqd. 25 division in Saigon. Sai-gon. He has been there since October. Alan is the son of Faye and Iris Dibble. Tom Bona and his new bride the former Sandy Greenhalgh of Payson are at home in Mapleton Map-leton after their marriage and honeymoon in Elko, Nevada. Bill and Rosemary Wiscombe with small daughter Tiffany spent the day with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wiscombe last Saturday. Lyle Paulson will take over duties as caretaker of the city parks and grounds. Lee Diamond is retiring after serving serv-ing for seven years. The people of Mapleton have been very proud of the beautiful park and others of surrounding communities have used the facilities fa-cilities and commented how very well it has been kept and what a credit it is to Mapleton. Our thanks and appreciation to the Diamonds for a job well done. Toni Miguel Ely will be staying stay-ing with her parents while husband hus-band Blair attends summer camp with the National Guard. Dar, Morgan, Boyd Harder, and Ermin Stone will also be on maneuvers with the Guard. Four young Springville girls were involved in a two car collision col-lision on the corner of 800 South and Center in Mapleton last Tuesday. Connie Crain was taken by ambulance to the hospital. hos-pital. The other three Cindy Oakley, Sandy Knight and Judy Daybell were not injured. Utah Highway Patrol investigated the accident. Clark Johnson and his wife Jonnie, Twin Falls, Idaho visited vis-ited over the weekend with friends and relatives.
