Show David Ray White Drowning victim services set Friday, 2 p.m. The body of David White, 21 who drowned Sunday in the Sevier Bridge Reservoir at Yuba State Park in Sanpete County, was found Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. Funeral services will be Friday Fri-day at 2 p.m. at the Fourth-Tenth-Thirteenth ward church with Bishop Edward Holmes of the Thirteenth ward officiating. Friends may call this evening at the Berg Mortuary here from 6 to 8 p.m. and prior to the services Friday. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Ever-green Cemetery. Mr. White drowned Sunday while trying to swim to shore from an island 200 yards from shore. The Sanpete County Sherrif's office reported the body was found about 150 feet from the island while searchers search-ers were using grappling hooks. From 45 to 50 men, mostly from the Juab and Sanpete County jeep patrols were involved invol-ved in the search. Divers also were assisting at the time. The youth was swimming with Gerald Snedegar, 21, Dug-way, Dug-way, when he slipped beneath the water on his return to the shore. David Ray White of 785 East Center, was born October 16, 1947, in Gunnison, as son of Walter Richard and Georgia Kathleen Keisel White. He received re-ceived his education in Springville, Spring-ville, graduating from the Springville Spr-ingville High School. He had been a resident here for 18 of his 21 years. He was a member of the LDS church. Survivors include his parents, two brothers and four sisters: G. Berkley, with the US Army in Vietnam; Kerry, Gaylene, Ann, Shirlene, Karen, all of Springville; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George D. Keisel, Ephraim; great grandmothers, Mrs. George C. Keisel, Manti; Mrs. Seno Christensen, Ogden. |
