Show Horticultural meet set at Provo The annual Horticultural meetings for all people interested inter-ested in the fruit industry will be held at Provo Rodeway Inn on January 24. An excellent program has been arranged by the officers, according to Joel C. Barlow. USU Extension Agent. The program will begin with a colored col-ored film on insect control at 9:00 a.m., followed by a discussion discus-sion on hew to grow larger sweet cherries and a report on the value of sweet cherry promotion, pro-motion, a program which started star-ted last year. Other topics of special interest inter-est to growers will be chemical weed control and peach thinning, thin-ning, nevv burning regulations in orchards, study on human toxicity to agricultural chemicals, chemi-cals, and concentrate spraying to save money. Craig Wayman and H. J. Harvey, heading the Fruit Growers' Association, also have arranged for door prizes and apples.
