The original nine hole Springville City was awarded a $19,724 grant from the Federal Bureau of Outdoor Recreation for acquisition ac-quisition of approximately 128 acres adjacent to the existing nine-hole Hobble Creek Golf Course Senator Frank E. Moss made the announcement of the grant which will assure the addition of a nine-hole addition to the present golf course as well as provide for picnic and camping facilities in the area at Kelly's Grove. Mayor F. Oalvin Packard stated the money will be used to help pay the $50,000 price for land lying directly wast of the present nine holes. Some negotiations still remain with the U. S. Forest Service and with pri- course was constructed three years ago and has proven to be one of the most beautiful and outstanding courses in the state. The cost of the original or-iginal course was $120,000. The city then applied for and received a retroactive grant of $108,000 from the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation. Recrea-tion. Last year the city exercised exer-cised its option on the ranch lying west of the clubhouse and paid $20,000 an initial payment.
