Show Aureole Club, told of health center Aureole Club meeting was held at the ohme of Mrs. Faye Oldroyd, with Mary Schwartz as co-hostess. President May Miller presided. Allie Goble led ' the pledge of allegiance to the flag, and Helen Wheeler read the club collect. An invitation to visit the Central Utah Mental Health Center open house on November Novem-ber 12, was read. It is one of the first such centers in the U.S. Each club member was asked to donate one book of Gold Strike Stamps to be given giv-en to obtain televisions for the Veterans Hospital. The project chosen by state federated clubs is the State Training School at American Fork, whose young patients need so many things, and giving them some help at Christmas time was discussed. Juanita Larabee, program chairman, introduced the guest speaker, Mrs. Edna Hill, social worker in the Provo-Orem area, ar-ea, who gave an interesting talk on her own experiences, and then held a panel discussion discus-sion with three high school girls whom she broght, asking r their personal opinions on giving giv-ing a child everything wanted, discipline, religious training, 1 helping at home or allowances, their attitude on the current I narcotics trend, dating, etc., J which was spontaneous and un- rehearsed, and proved most interesting. Refreshments were served to four guests and 16 members, by the hostesses. |
