Dallin dies in Payson; services pending Morris Leray Dallin, 70, lifelong life-long resident of this .city, died Wednesday morning, November 13, 1968, at Payson City Hospital Hos-pital after a long illness. Born in Springville October 16, 1898, be was the son of Steven M. and Polly Warren Dallin. He attended schools here and graduated from the high school. Ho married Lereah Roundy, April 21, 1920, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a retired steelworker having worked at the Ironton Plant while it was operated here. He was an ardent ar-dent sports lover and enjoyed many outdoor activities. Active throughout his life in the church, he was a high priest in the First Ward at the time of his death. He served ser-ved as a counselor in the First Ward elders quorum for seven years. He served two different times as secretary in the high priest group of the ward. In the Sunday School he was with the Junior Sunday School for six years and was superintendent superinten-dent of the Sunday School for two years and also acted on various committees as chairman. chair-man. He worked in genealogical and temple work as an officer in the ward organization. Survivors include his wife and the following sons: Max Leray, Springville; Blaine of Spanish oFrk; Orval of Lander, Wyoming; seven grandchildren and two brothers and one sister, sis-ter, James Selby Dallin, Spanish Span-ish Fork; Amos E. Dallin, Maud D. Mason both of Springville. Spring-ville. Funeral services will be announced an-nounced by the Wheeler Mortuary. |
