Show Addition to Mapleton School receives approval; Hebo hoard considers various financial matters Superintendent Russell N. Stansfield reviewed the proposed pro-posed agreement of Ash-worth Ash-worth Architects to design an addition to the Mapleton School and requested authority au-thority for the clerk to sign a contract for the addition at the October 14 meeting of Nebo School Board. All members were present plus the superintendent, clerk, Dale Schimmelpfennig and newly appointed clerk, Le-Roy Le-Roy Whitehead, Jr. The motion was made by Dr. William H. Sorensen and seconded by Ramond C. Johnson that the clerk be authorized to sign the contract con-tract as outlined Voting was unanimous. Other items discussed and presented, included a financial finan-cial report showing a bank balance of $779,055.50 with checks outstanding of $390,-678.54. $390,-678.54. The financial report indicated in-dicated estimated revenue and balances of $6,470,776. Receipts to date including balances $711,798.44. Estimated Esti-mated balances due: $5,758,-977.56. $5,758,-977.56. Amount budgeted $6,470,776.00. Expended to date $931,468.28. Unexpend-ded Unexpend-ded balance, $5,539,307.72. The building construction under contract statement showed total contracts amounting to $5,456,651.29, with payments to date amounting to $5,427,930.39. Leaving an unpaid balance of $28,720.90. A motion was made by Raymond C. Johnson and seconded by Dr. William H. Sorensen that a bus maintenance main-tenance shop be planned for the Pa.yson area and that Superintendent Stansfield be authorized to move on the planning of such shop. Supt. Stansfield indicated that the above action met the requirements re-quirements of the state building program as submitted submit-ted by Nebo School District covering their 5-year projected projec-ted building program. The board accepted the ;i following bids: apples, Delicious, Deli-cious, from Earl Perry, $2.45 ; per bushel; Jonathans, Howard How-ard Riley, $3.00 per bushel; honey, Huish Moore, $10.00 per 60 pound can; antifreeze, anti-freeze, Van Waters and Rogers, Ro-gers, 97 cents per gallon In 55 gallon drums. Motion Raymond C. Johnson. Seconded Dr. William H. Sorensen. That Superintendent Stansfield be authorized to reject all bids and call for new bids on the basis of four conventional buses with the specifications altered so that all automotive automo-tive agencies could meet the bid requirements. The bids were reviewed for the proposed piping of the irrigation ditch across from the Springville High School. The board adjourned the meeting at 8:55 p.m. on a motion by Glenn W. Coff-man. |
