Show Happenings in Mapieton Mrs. Lois Graves Phone 489-6674 i Mr and Mrs. Dean Tew and children spent a delightful eek visiting at South Lake Tahoe, California, with Mr. and Mrs. , Barry Weight and family. While there they enjoyed en-joyed a boat cruise and a drive along the scenic route into Sacramento, and they came back over the Donner Pass route Bishop and Mrs. J. Norman Graves and children enjoyed a short vacation to Pueblo, Colorado, Col-orado, where they visited with the Norris Anderson family. Primary officers of the Mapieton Ma-pieton Third Ward held a "come as you are" breakfast on the church patio Monday morning. There were 26 officers offi-cers and teachers present. Boy Scouts of Troop 127 and their leader, Wayne Barker, went to the Uintas for a week campout July 29. Those who participated were Brad Brink-erhoff, Brink-erhoff, David Graves, Stephen Bills, Kevin Graves, Dan Johnson, John-son, Randy Roundy, Steven Olsen, Ol-sen, Larry Barker, Raymand Poulson, and Mike Hutchings. On Saturday the boys were greeted by some of the parents par-ents who had prepared a fried chicken dinner for them. Lihoma Holiday for Maple-ton Maple-ton Third Ward was held August Aug-ust 1. The theme was "Grandmother's "Grand-mother's Old Fashioned Garden." Gar-den." The advancement was held for the girls and they enjoyed en-joyed a fashion show with Blanche Tew, Judy Barker and some of the Primary girls modeling mod-eling the clothes. Mrs. Delores Crandall of the stake board, stake Primary president, spoke to the boys. Mr. and Mrs. Tony Korda and children of Cobleskill, New York, Schoharie Valley, are here visiting with the families of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Sission and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Evans. They plan to spend about a week in Utah. and Glen Calder of the bishopric bish-opric gave talks. Refreshments and games were enjoyed by all. The Trail Roundup for the Trail Builders of Mapieton Third Ward was held July 31. Mrs. Ella Edmunds and Mrs. Margery Daniel and the Primary Prim-ary president, Mrs. Ruth Hooper, Hoop-er, were in charge. There was a good attendance of mothers present. Mrs. Evelyn Robbins, |
