Show Safe driving course completed by 25 !.. A total of 25 persons lit were enrolled in the Spring-is-, ville Defensive Driving t Training course which con- eluded Tuesday evening, at the Ci Center, under di-v. di-v. rection of teachers, J. Earl E; Johnson of Utah County 8 Safety Committee and Shirl Larsen. l! The four-weeks 2-hour course, sponsored by Spring-n. Spring-n. ville City and the Chamber of Commerce was designed for all ages to emphasize g proper driving practices and it safety procedures. t;- The Springville course lor was the first of its kind in the south end of the county nef: . and was considered by parte; ticipants as very much worth while. Those who missed any of the classes, will be notified by Mr. Johnson of the time and place of other classes being held in other parts of the county and they .can attend. at-tend. Cards were presented each person completing the course. Students taking the class were reminded that the total to-tal direct cost of traffic accidents ac-cidents to Utah motorists amounted to $49,000,000 in 1967, according to Utah State Highway Department. This plus the deaths and injuries in-juries is an incentive for all to leam to be better drivers. |
