Show First graders to be guests at library reception on Saturday To highlight Children's Book Week, at the public library, Oct. 29 to Nov. 4, a reception is planned Saturday, Nov. 4 at the library, for all first graders grad-ers in the Springville and Ma-pleton Ma-pleton schools, announces Librarian Li-brarian Paula Jones. Theme of the week is, "Take Off With Books." The reception is scheduled for 2 p.m., and all parents are invited to come with their chil- dren and enjoy the program about books by a talented BYU student, Randy Hopkins. Refreshments Re-freshments will be served. All guests will be taken on a tour of the library and each child will be given his first library card. He will also be presented with a book mark printed to remind him how to care for books. Parents too, will be given book marks, printed prin-ted with a list of recommended books for children. The library staff urges all parents to attend the reception with their child to help make the day he receives his fir ' library card a memorable o casion. JI |
