Show Club enjoys talk on wills, trusts Ladies Literary Club members mem-bers spent an interesting evening eve-ning Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Clara J. Sumsion. Following Follow-ing a nicely arranged buffet luncheon, the president, Mrs. B e 1 v a Edwards, conducted short business including minutes min-utes by the secretary, Mrs. Brent Packard. The club collect col-lect was read by Mrs. Berton Groesbeck. The program for the evening featured Attorney Robert Sumsion Sum-sion in an interesting and informative in-formative talk on wills, ' laws and trusts. He spoke generally on the importance of wills explaining ex-plaining how they were probated. pro-bated. Contrary to some beliefs, be-liefs, probation of an estate is not an expensive or long-drawn process in most instances, he noted. He reviewed general statutes governing probation of estates and also explained how trusts operate. The meeting was attended by nineteen club members and two guests, Mrs. Helen Robbins and Mrs. Hugh Roylance. Next club meeting will be on Tuesday, November 13, at the home of Mrs. A. E. Jacob-sen. |
