Show Scouts turn out to clean banks of Hobb!e Creek Scouts and Scoutmasters representing rep-resenting at least three troops, were on hand Saturday to help members of the City Beautification Beautifi-cation Board clean up the banks of Hobble Creek from First East to Second East on First South St. Byron Cottom, district camping camp-ing and activity chairman from the Hobble Creek District, trucked away three loads of debris raked up by the Scout group. Decayed fruit, dead animas, lawn clippings and other garbage gar-bage were encountered while cleaning up the area, members of the beautification board re-po: re-po: ted. Among the Scoutmasters and assistant Scoutmasters assisting assist-ing with the work, were Del-bcit Del-bcit Mellor, Andrew Nielson nnd Dee Hanks in addition to Mr. Cottam. A total of four hours was spent by the Scouts in the cleanup project. |
