VFW Auxiliary 5787 hears state head Dept. President Betty Beech of Kearns spoke at a meeting of the VFW Auxiliary 5787, when they met Tuesday evening eve-ning of last week at Memorial Hall. The visiting official talked about membership, the cancer fund campaign and other community com-munity service work and complimented com-plimented the Springville unit on securing a 100 percent membership. mem-bership. The remainder of the evening eve-ning was spent by the women wrapping special treat packages pack-ages for local servicemen serving serv-ing overseas. The project was sponsored in conjunction with the VFW Post 5787 and a total of 24 packages were prepared and sent.
