Show Springville man wins Masters; works in Oregon R. Leon Phillips, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Phillips, 1167 So. 4th East, Springville, has completed his master's degree in Toxicology (study of toxic substances (insecticides)). Financial Fin-ancial assistance was awerded by the National Institute of Health as a fellowship toward his master's degree. Leon has accepted a position as Animal Husbandryman and Nutritionist at the Squaw Butte Experimental Station operated op-erated jointly by Agricultural Research Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Oregon Agricultural Experiment Experi-ment Station of Oregon State College, Corvallis. He will be working with range cattle on the research project scheduled, and he hopes to apply the experimental ex-perimental work toward a Ph.D. in the future. He and his wife, Enid, are now residing in Burns, Oregon. |
