Show s 5 Mob Stake Singing Mothers s set musical festival Friday J I Singing Mothers of Kolob iStake have spent several 'weeks rehearsing songs for a ' 'music festival to be presented 'iFriday at 8 p.m., in Kolob JStake House. i Each of the wards has prepared pre-pared a number to sing in the festival and the public is being invited free of charge, to the program. I The following numbers have been prepared by the various iwards: First Ward, "My Testimony," Tes-timony," lead by Aline Lopez, m accompanied by Norma White; Second Ward, "Rain," lead by Mina Murray, accompanied by Belle Thomas; Vocal solo by Catherine Robertson, "The Sound of Music," from the musical mu-sical of the same name by Rogers and Hamerstein; Sixth Ward, "Calm as the Night," directed by Margaret Bartholomew, Barthol-omew, accompanied by Theda Lynn; Eleventh Ward, "God of All Nature," by P. Tchaikovsky, Tchaikov-sky, directed by Evelyn Boyer, accompanied by Catherine Bowman; Instrumental trio, comprised of Mary Bird, Leta Boyer and Elaine Rawle; Twelfth Ward, "On Great Lone Hills," directed direct-ed by Carma Hafen, accompanied accom-panied by Neva Hutchings from Findlandia by Sibelius; Mapleton Ward, "I Passed by Your Window," directed by Rowena Palmer, accompanied by Nancy Dove; Vocal duet by Afton Banner and Lenore Bills, Romberg's "Serenade;" Mapleton Second Ward, "Climb Every Mountain," from "The Sound of Music," by Rogers and Hammerstein, directed by Marilyn Tuttle, accompanied by Bonnie Williams. Concluding the program, the combined stake .chorus will sing "Without a Song," from "Great Day" by Youmans, arranged ar-ranged by Hugh Fry, and the "Battle Hymn of the Republic" arranged by Wilhousky, directed direct-ed by Mabel Paulsen and accompanied ac-companied by Mary Bird. |
