There were ten runners involved in the longer Message of Heritage , event, and Cedar High and Southern Utah State College alumnus Keenan Hart zipped around the course in 32:51 to lead the pack. He was followed by David Dix in 33:43 and Kee Yazzie in 33:44. The top female finisher was Louise Stone, who ran a 47:25. Both runs were conducted con-ducted Saturday under delightful weather conditions. Run participants par-ticipants received T-shirts, T-shirts, certificates and ribbons for their efforts. Of the 38 participants in the shorter event, Gordon Hyde hustled to a 15:37 clocking and was well ahead of the pack. Other age-group winners included in-cluded Steve Hedges, Tom Dalton, Jim Ipsum, Steve Marshall, Quinn Pratt, Bruce Rigby, a Ann Johnson, Britney Stansfield, Marilyn. Marshall and Beverly Anderson. I The next local fun run will be conducted Saturday, beginning up Cedar Canyon. The Southern Utah State College Thunderbird 10-kilometer 10-kilometer event will begin at 8:30 a.m. Contact Con-tact the college for further fur-ther details.
