Stansfield ' examine the winning pothole in the First Annual Iron County Record Pothole Contest. The winner is 30 feet 3 inches at its widest point and 7 inches deep. The Radmall brothers will receive a free front-end alignment from Desert Pines Tire and Service Center for their efforts. ..Commenting on the pothole, they said: "If you ever decide to have a crater contest, this one will win also. ... It has a striking resemblance to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. A drive out to see this would not be a waste of time; indeed, it may be the beginnings of a tourist attraction." . .The pothole is found at 1152 W. Cedar Knolls West Street in Cedar City. Those taking a close second in the contest were on 600 South, south of Albertson's in Cedar City; and at the intersection of 600 South and 700 West, again in Cedar Citv. |
