Show Chamber lunch set perience includes being elected to the House of Representatives in 1975, reelection in 1977, when he became assistant majority whip. In 1979 he was again reelected and became majority ledaer. In 1981 he was elected Speaker. He was a member of the Advisory Board for the Utah Technical College or Salt Lake and has served as Chairman of the West Valley City Blue Ribbon Task Force to study alternative forms of government for that city. The Speaker of the Utah State House of Representatives will be the spe; iker at the August Chamber of Commerce meeting: Aug. 27 at noon at the Town & Country Restaur ant. The public is invited to the no-host luncheon. Norrmun H. Bangerter, who was elected this year as Speaker of the House, will address the Chamber and guests. Bangerter was born on Jan. 4, ,1933, in West Valley City. He is the tenth of eleven children, and presently resides in West Valley City. He graudated from Cyprus Higih School in Magna and attended l.i i v h ,i in Y mi ii l' University and the University of Utah. He later spent two years in the U.S. Army, serving in Korea, and is a Veteran of Foreign Wars. He married Colleen Monson, and they have six children and one foster son. Bangerter is active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has served in several ward organizations, as well as stake mutual superintendent. superin-tendent.
