Show 5 L : : W g Dennis B. Harris... .honored at retirement Harris cited at retirement ! The employees of Mountain Bell honored Dennis B. Harris, who recently retired, at an open house Friday at his office at 103 West Center. Harris started with Mountain Bell on Sep. 21, 1949 as a cable splicer's helper and progressed through the jobs of lineman, installer-repairman, installer-repairman, and central office repairman. On June 1, 1964, he was promoted to Staff . Technician. All of these jobs and titles were held in Salt Lake City. On July 1, 1965 he was again promoted, this time to service foreman, and he moved to Provo. On November 1, 1970, he was promoted to I Cedar Group Supervising Service Foreman, and he 1 and his family moved to Cedar City. While in Cedar City he held the titles of customer services ser-vices manager and manager network switching. Harris has been very active in the community belonging to several civic organizations and he has served in several offices of the Telephone Pioneers. Upon retirement he plans to pursue his hobbies and do some traveling. He and his wife Darlene are the parents of seven children and will continue to live in Cedar City. |
