Show New evening school program offers bachelors degree Students at Southern Utah State College can earn a bachelors degree in elementary education exclusively through a new evening school course. Registration for the education sequence and other evening school classes will be held Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the SUSC Administration Ad-ministration Building. "People who are employed or otherwise occupied during the day can now complete requirements for the teaching degree as evening school students here in Cedar City," said Phillip C. Carter, chairman of the SUSC Department of Teacher Education. The evening school program is structured much the same as the college's popular outreach program in teacher education and has been developed to meet the needs of those who can't enroll as regular, day-time students. Classes to be taught fall quarter, beginning the week of Sept. 29, include Education 202, The Teaching Process; Education 352, Teaching Reading in Elementary School; Education 338, Kindergarten Materials and Methods; and Cooperative Education 284-484. The particular dates and times each class will be taught will be deter-mined deter-mined following registration, Dr. Carter said.
