Show Development and Finance Committee Foundation Expands Fund Program Joye Corry, chairman of the Development and Finance Committee for the Valley View Health Care Foundation (VVHCF) today announced an-nounced the decision to create 8 separate sub-committees to carry out the many Foundation solicitation programs. In announcing the formaiton of the committees, Corry stated that "The responsibility of the Foundation is to secure voluntary contributions from all sources which will assure the independent financial security of our Hospital and continually provide the most modern health care facilities at the lowest possible cost." In creating the committees, the Foundation is providing gift opportunities op-portunities and ways of giving to all citizens to support VVHCF programs in a way most suited to their own desires, means and tax structures. The 8 sub-committees and their area of responsibility will be: FOUNDATIONS-To contact State and National private Foundation. CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTSJoye herself will head up this subcommittee sub-committee that will be concerned with major contributions toward the many capital and equipment projects of the Valley View Medical Center, and other health-related operations in this area. CLUBS AND 0RGANIZATIONS--To develop annual treasury gift supported contributions from clubs and organizations of the area. Leta Cowley is Chairman. COMMEMORATIVE. GIFTS-To provide an opportunity for all people to make a contribution out of love and concern as a tribute to friends and loved ones who are living or who have passed on. Sharon Dalton is chairman. chair-man. DEFERRED GIVING- Where we may remember the Foundxation in our will or where the donor may make a contribution of securities, or property with proceeds benefiting the Foundation at a future date. Scott Thorley is chairman. MATERIALS AND SERVICES-Provides SERVICES-Provides an opportunity to develop through local business firms items of equipment or contributions of servics. All support is tax deductible. Bea Knudsen is chairman. ANNUAL GIVING-Provides a means of support on a routine basis each year, creating a habit of giving to the Foundation. Con Hatch is chairman. SPECIAL EVENTS-Establishes or coordinate with interested individuals or organizations the development of special events in the community with the proceeds going to the Foundation. Vyonne Robinson is chairman. Corry indicated that "The formation for-mation of these sub-committees will be accomplished immediately and solicitation programs will begin in the next few days." ' "If local citizens wish to be a part of a team dedicated to the continued development of the finest health care facilities possible, they may bee ome a member of the' Foundation by simply contacting the Foundation Office at the Hospital; we have a place for them," concluded Corry. |
