Show Cris Tea -Susan Pedersen Outstanding Players The only two seniors on the 1979-80 Southern Utah State College women's basketball team led the squad in scoring and ranked first and fourth in rebounding. Chris Tea, 6-1 center-forward, center-forward, topped the team in both scoring and rebounding. reboun-ding. She averaged 15.6 points and 12.4 rebounds per game. Susan Pedersen, 5-8 forward, finished second in scoring with 13.3 average and fourth in rebounding with 5.7 per game. Tea is from Riverton; she played at Dixie College before transferring to SUSC. Pedersen, a four-year let-terwinner, let-terwinner, is from Beryl in Iron County. . "We'll miss those twe ," Joy Peterson, SUSC coach, says. "They have been an important part of our program for the last two seasons, and they will not be easy to replace." SUSC has concluded its season. The 'Birds finished w ith an 11-12 overall record; against Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference com- petition, SUSC won four and lost four. Nine Letter winners win-ners will be eligible to compete next season. |
