Charles E. Hart and Bishop Joseph C. Felix also spoke. Burial was in the Cedar City Cemetery and Trusten R. Hart gave the dedicatory prayer at the graveside. Burial arrangements by Boyer Southern Utah Mortuary. Charles Hart Nelson, 40, of Bisbee, Arizona, died January 24, 1980 in St. George, Utah. He was born September 21, 1939 in Cedar City to Robert Corry Nelson and Jane Hart Nelson. Charlie spent much of his life in Cedar City where he graduated from High School and Southern Utah State College, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art. His exceptional ability in art was recognized by family, .' friends, and teachers from an early age. 1 Following high school, Charlie enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he was assigned to the USS Mullany and served for three years. Charlie lived in Bisbee, Arizona, an artist's community, com-munity, until shortly before his death. There he had his own pottery studio and was recognized by other artists as master of his trade. Survivors include: a daughter Kimber, Cedar City; a son Miklejon, Bisbee, Arizona; parents Robert Corry Nelson and Jane Hart Nelson, Boise, Idaho; sister Joan Hart Leigh, Bisbee, Arizona; and sister Cherie Nelson Shumate, Cedar City. Funeral services were held Monday, January 28, 1980 in the Cedar City Ninth Ward Chapel at 1 p.m. with Bishop Joseph C. Felix officiating. of-ficiating. Prayers were offered by Keenan Hart and Kumen Gardner with family prayer at the mortuary given by James L. Shumate. Prelude and postlude music was by Evelyn Jones and special musical numbers num-bers were "God Painted A Picture", and "Peace I Leave With You" by Naida |
