Kelly Dover, 22, and his three year old son were killed Monday night when they j fC lCLCHt crashed with a train on Airport Rd. The accident occurred at approximately 6 p.m. Mrs. Dover has been taken to LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City with multiple fractures. Monday Night Fatalities Father-Son Die in Collision Mrs. Dover was in serious but stable condition, at the hospital Monday night and was transferred Tuesday to the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City with multiple fractures. Joint funeral services for the father and son are scheduled today, Thursday. Kelly Dover, 22 and his three year old son, Bryan Lee Dover, were tragically killed Monday evening in a car-train accident on the Airport Road. Dover, his wife and child were southbound on the Airport Road when they were struck by a train moving westbound at the track intersection. Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Ken Bryant and Cedar City Police Officer Dennis Anderson, who investigated the accident, indicated that the Dover vehicle was pushed by the train to the west side of the intersection and down off the median approximately 35 feet. Mrs. Dover, the former Nancy Jean Osborn, 19, was pinned on the passenger side of the car while her husband was trapped in the vehicle door. The couple's child, Bryan Lee, was lodged in the vehicle and rescue workers had to pry open the vehicle to release the victims and Mrs. Dover. Mr. Dover and the child were rushed to Valley View Medical Center where they were pronounced dead on arrival. |
