Show JOE DISPENZA TO HEAD LIONS CLUBNEXT YEAR Joe Dispenza, mayor of Bingham Bing-ham Canyon, was elected new president of the Bingham Canyon Can-yon Lions Club at a meeting of the group held at the Civic Center Cen-ter Wednesday night. He succeeds suc-ceeds Carl A. Curtis. Other officers elected include: Hyman Smernoff, first vice president; pre-sident; Francis Oswald, second vice president; Dean Ham, third vice president; Reed Kelly, secretary; sec-retary; Verio Kendrick, treasurer; treasur-er; Ross Pino, Lion tamer; Shirl Scroggin, tail twister; C. A. Mor-ley Mor-ley and Marlin Schultz, directors. direc-tors. Mr. Kelly and Mr. Kendrick were reelected to their posts. MAYOR JOE DISPENZA Four visitors from the Magna-Garfield Magna-Garfield Lions club were in attendance at-tendance at the meeting. They were: Deputy District Governor Clair Huffaker, Rufus Parks, Ray Merrill and 'Harold Hawks. Each spoke briefly. The club presented Mr. and Mrs. Shirl Scroggin with a desk set in appreciation of their work on the Galena Days scrapbook. O |
