Show HEALTH NEWS According to the weekly bulletin bul-letin of the state department of health a total of 271 new cases of communicable diseases were reported in the state for the week ending May 20. Mumps led the list with a total of 96 new cases. Chicken pox came second with 55 and measles was third with 46. The following is a list of all diseases reported for the week: chicken pox, 55; poliomyelitis, 3; influenza, 3; measles, 46; German measles, 6; mumps, 96; strep infections, in-fections, 18; tuberculosis, 4; whooping cough, 26; gonorrhea, 2; svphilis, 8; infectious hepatitis' 1; gastro-enteritis, 2; ringworm of scalp, 1.
