Show BM.A FLASHES by Jim Abplanalp MINERS AGAIN STATE CHAMPIONS Our Bingham High Miners once again proved to be the cream of the State B baseball circuit, by downing Richfield 12 to 2 Wednesday for the umpteenth ump-teenth prep championship. The locals went thru the entire season sea-son undefeated in league or tourney tour-ney play and can be congratulated congratu-lated for a very fine showing. The entire squad performed as champs should, and the final game was perhaps as clean a win , as any of them. Larry Stillman. hurled great ball in the-final, allowing only 5 hits and striking out 10. Johnson and Lovat were the big stickers, with a triple and home run. We would like to congratulate Coach Schick and his entire ball club for their splendid play. BDAA AT SANDY TONIGHT The local BDAA baseball nine will journey to Sandy tonight, rnaay, ior ineir second league tussle against Doc Johnson's Manager Babcock has added a few new members to his squad, and will probably start his new hurler, Byrge. Bingham downed Magna in their opening game last Sunday 3 to 2, in a very fine hurling duel between Magna's Hagen and Marion Cowdell. Next Sunday Bingham will play at Bidvale at 4:00 p.m. The next home game for the BDAA nine will be against Doc Johnson's John-son's Sunday, June 5, at 4:00 pm. This league is going to produce some very good baseball this year, so plan to come out and enjoy it with us. |
