The other two items were a new county jail and redevelopment rede-velopment of downtown Cedar Ce-dar City. 'We need a united front on MX,' Commissioner J. L. Clark said, in bringing up MX. As a member of Board, Clark said he was concerned with the unor -ganized action of public bodies. bod-ies. He suggested that the city and county draft a letter let-ter stating that should MX coii. j to the area, it not be split -based with Texas and New Mexico. If split basing is used, Iron County, which won't have any missiles, will also not have the base. If the entire system is lorried in Utah and Nevada, Iron County would only have one missile shelter, hut the main Utah base would l located on the Iron - ReaverCounty line, under present plans. |
