Show Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baxter last week was their son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Baxter. Charles and Ruth are moving mov-ing from Las Vegas to Electric Elec-tric City Washington, where Charles was a foreman over the substations at Grand Coulee Dam. He will now be employed at the Boulder Dam. A surprise birthday dinner and party was given In the honor of Mable Turner last Valentine's Day at St. Bridget's Brid-get's Hall. The party was hosted by her children Mr. and Mrs. Alva J. (Jerry) Kirk, Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Pat) Davis andMr. andMrs. Clyde (Marion) Turner. There was plenty of talent tal-ent and entertainment with grandchildren providing a program and Marge Mecham playing the piano. The evening even-ing was topped off with dancing danc-ing and singing. A wonderful wonder-ful time was had by all. Those honoring Mable at the dinner were Mr. andMrs. Alva J. Kirk, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Turner. Grandchildren, Grandchil-dren, Lisa and Amy Turner, Russell Turner, Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Davis, Norman Davis and his wife, Brenda and Ted Seifers, CraigKirk, Brad Kirk, Steve and Connie Con-nie Sperry, Roldo Turner, Linn Turner, Bus Hardy, Mable's sister, Katherine Inmann and husband Steve. Also a niece Lorraine Fra-zier Fra-zier and her fiance. Jim and Barbara Mayer and Them an Walker and Virginia Vir-ginia Nielson, of Monroe, all motored down to Las Vegas last week to visit with The-man's The-man's brother, Deloyd Walker Walk-er and wife, Jenny, and an old friend, Ethel Lee. Jim and Barbara returned home Sunday and Them an and Virginia Vir-ginia stayed to take a tour of the Valley of Fire, with Ethel and visit friends in Overton. While they were in Vegas they witnessed the Hilton Hotel Fire. Theman and Ethyl returned during the week. Virginia stayed a night with Barbara Mayer and then returned to her home in Monroe. Ron and Tracy Walker and boys spent a weekend in To-, oele visiting with friends Leslie and Allan Lonn. Mr. and Mrs. Mitch Fisher Fish-er spent last weekend in Pioche, visiting with Tim Fisher and family. On Sunday Sun-day Tim was ordained first Counselor in the Pioche Ward, and ordained a High Priest by his father, Mitch Fisher. Two weeks ago Robert Fisher of Pr'ovo, came to visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mitch Fisher. He brought his nephew Gary Fisher, son of Bart Fisher, down with him. The Fishers had a family dinner, with Robert and his family, Tim and family, Bart and boys, Nici, of CedarCity andChel-lie andChel-lie Fisher and baby, all attending. at-tending. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bellis-ton Bellis-ton returned Thursday from an enjoyable trip to. Southern California and Mexico. They traveled by Amtrak on Feb. 2, to Los Angeles. Then on the 5th they accompanied their son and daughter - in - law, Mr. and Mrs. Farrel Bellis-ton, Bellis-ton, of Monterey Park, to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. |
