Show Toon "'oof ingo ujiffi Hotcli Senator Orrin Hatch will study health care and law enforcement capabilities in Beaver, Millard and Sevier counties, holding two town meetings during a three day swing through the area pegged peg-ged for explosive population growth in the near future. Hatch will meet with local lo-cal citizens and officials over the economic and social so-cial problems expected. Town meetings will be held Wednesday, April 9th at 7:30 in the Sevier County Courthouse Court-house in Richfield; and on Thursday, April 10th at 7:30 p.m. in Beaver High School in Beaver. Hatch said development of Southern Utah "will bring many opportunities for growth but will also bring great challenges that will severely strain our local governments and social Institutions. In-stitutions. Development of energy resources, and development de-velopment for other reasons such as the defense construction con-struction proposed for basing bas-ing the MX missile in Utah, combine to create a certainty cer-tainty that some development develop-ment will come to this area." "Much has already been said, but much more remains to be learned. I'm determined deter-mined to stop mindless development de-velopment that chould shatter shat-ter the local community. We must answer many questions before we turn bulldozers loose on the landscape." |
